These pictures are of Ayer Lake, a man-made lake that provides water for the park. It is kind of small, but pretty (and you know how desert dwellers feel about water.) The first shot is the first sight you get of the lake as you finish the climb up the trail and come around a bend. The second is a view as you get a little closer, and the third is of the area where we could hear a red-winged blackbird singing.
