Besh-Ba-Gowah Indoor Pictures

These two pictures show the long passageway that served as the entrance to the site. Originally, it was completely covered, for what reason, we do not know. Possibly as protection from neighbors. But, it was the only way in, so it would seem that whether it was designed for protection or not, that is what it did. I am standing at the entrance on the second picture so that you get an idea how tall it was. I am 5'5".
