| The area is covered with pinyon pine, scrub oak, and the occasional manzanita bush. Most of the trail is hard packed dirt with the occasional rocky section. Its another place where it is quiet enough to listen to the sound of the wind rushing through pine trees. |

| Shortly after you start out on the trail, you get a great view of the 3 Sisters rock formation. This view shows the rocks from one of the best vantage points along the trail. By comparison, here is what the Three Sisters look like from the Eagles Nest trail inside the park. |
