Tuzigoot Pueblo Ruins

The following slide show will take a while to load. Please be patient. You should have plenty of time to read about the photos before they start.

Photo #1 is a view of the ruins from the road on the way in. Photo #2 is the inside of one room. They were about 8 X 12 and about 5 1/2 feet tall.
Photo #3 is a plaque showing how the inside probably looked. Click here to read what the plaque says. Photo #4 is a view of several rooms next to each other.
Photo #5 is a view from the top of the pueblo looking down at a number of levels. Photo #6 is a view taken from the top of the pueblo, of the slag field left over from a copper smelting operation in a nearby town that stopped about 50 years ago. Kinda scary.
