Montezuma’s Well Sink Hole

The well is a sinkhole about 300 feet across. At the base, there is an opening that allows water to flow out through a canal built by the Sinaguan Indians. They used the water to irrigate their fields. The interesting thing about the canals is that since the soil around the area contains so much limestone, the canals have pretty much turned into concrete.
