Wupatki Ruins

Wupatki reminded us a lot of Tuzigoot (near Cottonwood), although it did look a bit larger. Here are four pictures we took from the observation deck. With the weather looking pretty threatening, we didn’t see any reason to go down next to it.

This pueblo stood three stories high and included 100 rooms. Some rooms were for storage, and some were living spaces. There was a spring near the building, but it is dry now. In the third picture, you can see the large round community room in the foreground and a handball court in the back.
